But the gameplay is bad. Very slow walk speed, and there's no point in the hide mechanic if you're only gonna do it once. There's also no pursuit, it's more lika an walking simulator/interactive story.
I would love if you could play my horror game and give me a feedback too, it's called "Touch of Madness":
The gameplay is intended to be as it is for the slow horror pacing, including getting into the locker or the running that's only a little bit faster but puts the game on a new pace. Anyway, it's all intended as it is, but when I make bigger games I tend to use more of mechanics-gameplay.
Absolutely loved this game! Not only is it a fun way to burn 10ish minutes, but also gave me lots of nostalgia. Used to love watching creepy pastas with my cousins late at night and then stay up scared all night 😂 10/10!
Interesting game! I enjoy the visuals and the voice acting perhaps the most; traversing the levels felt ok. Pops of colour and the lighting range really worked well here to keep the atmosphere tense. Sequences featuring the figure didn't really impact or stick with me much; they just kind of happened and it felt a little forced.
The model is perhaps at its best when allowed to be mostly obscured by the light and gas, not the viewer's mind to fill in the literal gaps.
Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts. I made the game the way I like it so probably a lot comes down to subjective judgement of each player but I'm glad everyone is connected by the creepypasta that we all adore so much 😁
Gave it a Let's Play, gameplay, feedback/criticisms within! I liked the model detail, though, during the jumpscare at the end, he seems to lose his teeth briefly too.
This game had everything going for it. Great graphics. Great atmo. Great story. I was just about to say [while recording] "Great game!" when you guys thought it would be a great idea to blast my eardrums out at the end. What makes you believe [or who or what told you] over-the-top loud noises are scary? They ain't. They're annoying [to me]. The only reason I didn't toss this game in the bin [as per my 'No Loud Noises' policy] is because the other 99% of the game is so great.
Please be more creative [as you've shown you can do in the other 99% of the game] and come up with other ideas to get the same result. I beg you.
Didn't run into any bugs. hiccups or other snags. Thanks for making this game and kudos to all involved.
[This was the first game I played in this video] This was such a solid atmospheric horror game. Thought the execution and idea was great! Worth the play!
Great game, although the game is short, it manages to create a very terrifying atmosphere. The voice actors did great, and that line "I MUST REMAIN AWAKE" 10/10
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, if this is a reflection of your improved game development since the days of Nox Timore then im excited to play more by you!
Just wanted to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GAME!!! It was so simplistic and creepy in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!! As a huge fan of the original story I can't help but NOT RECOMMEND THIS!!!
Vidas, You've done an absolutely fantastic job here. My only real "complaint" is that I felt that the interact key & running were underutilized. Yet in reality I might just be nitpicking.
We are you.. darkness shrouds the corner of our darkest minds. Insanity’s creations poked and prodded, slowly driving us to our most animalistic minds.. one.. two.. stay awake.. clock resets.. tick, tock, tick, tock.

I’ve always been in love with the Russian sleep experiment creepy pasta stories. Ever since I was younger and first watched the story on it, instantly triggered my night terrors from then on in. This game definitely underlined all that came from the deep darker tone of the story.
It was well paced and absolutely loved the “shift to sprint” to make you feel a sense of urgency. If any horror gaming fans know that feeling when that text appears. Than you’ll love that part of the game.
Cool. Love atmospheric horror games! Was worried it would be way too similar to the "Sleep Experiment" demo that came out a month or so ago- (based on the same sleep experiment as this game) Cool for a little free game tho! also- love how everyone associates that horrible cheap halloween prop as the image for this subject lol I have one. he came from party city LMAO
I actually did some research about this famous image and the story itself before making the game, and knew that this was a halloween doll from long time ago, but then I thought that people really associate that picture with the creepypasta so I just went ahead and made it into the game anyway, since it's all now part of this internet history.
Anyway, that's really cool that you have this, I should get one too haha
This was a great game! I knew of the creepy pasta before so it was nice you told the story as it went along, the jumps and voices were great and I loved the scares! Really great job I recommend! Here is my gameplay video.
True, although it's a little late for halloween, but I made one game called Umbra Halloween for that time. But also who's to say that you can't celebrate halloween the whole year 🎃
You've created an impressive game, from its atmosphere to the voice acting (which is not commonly seen in this type of indie games) and successfully adapting such a sinister creepypasta. You should be proud! Keep it up, you have a lot of potential. :D

Thank you!
We need more jumpscares!
Will make more :D
I love this creepypasta! The voice acting was top notch too!
Thank you very much!
It reminded me of Sorrow Asylum, a game I played before.
It is a game that is quite immersive as the story progresses while exploring a closed space.
Developer Vidas Games seems to have a very good understanding of horror games. I'm looking forward to the next game as well.
Thanks for playing!
Ah you played my Sorrow Asylum as well, very cool! And yeah a lot more games coming soon, be sure to follow me here on itchio so you don't miss them!
I already followed you when I played Sorrow Asylum in the past!
Actually, I haven't played Umbra Halloween yet, and even though it's past Halloween, I'm thinking of playing that too!
It's great to see your game being loved by so many friends. I wish you even more success in the future!
Thank you very much for all the support and kind words!
Great atmosphere, voice acting and storytelling.

Man that's not even this game, are you alright? 😂
Russian sleep experiment was one of my favorite creepy pastas and I am glad that there was a game inspired by it. Enjoyed the experience.
Thanks for playing!

Yeah! Not everything has to be made to my preferences and that's fair. :) Still a well made experience with enjoyable parts!
Very true, thank you for the support!

Yeah I've been making a lot of games since Nox Timore, and there will be a lot more soon!
Btw in comparison, Nox Timore was my 2nd game I even made, back in 2014, and Insomnis Experiment is my 40th game from last week 😁
Also I made Nox Timore Remake last year that you can play for free here on itchio as well
Glad you had a fun time playing the game, hope I sufficiently creeped you out with my voice!
Your voice is awesome in the game!
